Future for lgbtfest  
In the previous modly post, knittinggoddess left the following comment:

In that case, if anyone has interest in co-moderating a new comm, leave a comment to this one.
In the interest of having a "clean" entry with comments only about this subject, I thought I'd made a separate post for it.

I'm definitely interested and even thought of a new name. What about "lgbtfestforward"?

So ... who would like to get together to talk about how a new community could operate without putting a huge burden on its mods.

I'm definitely in.
Let's talk about it.

Do you have any opinions about how it should or should not be structured? What do you want to keep the same about lgbtfest, and what might be a useful change?

I like the idea of a challenge, but I also think it would be neat if the comm were open year-round for LGBT fic. That could easily be filtered with just a challenge and non-challenge tag.

Sometimes I want to just read about people coming out, you know? And there isn't really as central space to find things other than specific rec lists in specific fandoms.

I actually agree with a lot of what helenkacan suggested, minus what I pointed out in my response to her (the decades thing).
