Prompt claims post 2010

Sign-ups are now CLOSED

You may now claim a prompt for LGBT Fest. Please read the instructions below! Some things have changed since last year!

To claim a prompt, comment here using the template below (copy and paste it directly into your comment):

Prompt:
First choice of posting date:
Second choice of posting date:
Third choice of posting date:

ETA: From now until all posting dates fill up, you may now claim two prompts if you want. If you've already made one claim and want to return to claim a second prompt, that's fine. Please use the following template for second prompts:

Second prompt:
First choice of posting date:
Second choice of posting date:
Third choice of posting date:

Because of the number of people interested in participating this year, right now we are only allowing one prompt claim per person. If we have open slots toward the end of sign-ups, we'll allow people to claim second prompts at that time. We'll also be opening up the prompts for use as inspiration without claiming after the end of the fest, so if you want to get started on a second story to post after the fest is over, feel free!

Each prompt may be claimed twice, but we strongly encourage you to choose a prompt that's not yet claimed. Please check visible comments as well as the prompt list to make sure a prompt has not already been claimed twice.

When you claim each prompt, list your top three choices of posting dates from May 1 to June 15. At this time, we are letting 15 people sign up for each date. Please check visible comments as well as the calendar to make sure a date is not already full.

FAQ

How do I find out my assigned posting date?

Please check the calendar for your assigned posting date. We'll contact you if none of the dates you requested are available (or if the prompt you requested isn't available).

Why can't I see some of the comments to this post?

Your comment will be screened as soon as your claims are added to the claims list and calendar, to make it easier to see claims we haven't yet had a chance to add.

What happens if you run out of posting dates?

We'll add more posting slots if we need to, to make sure that everyone who signs up by April 1 gets a posting date. However, if you wait until April 1 to sign up, your choices of dates may be very limited.

I submitted prompts that aren't on the list!

We're sorry! Your prompts may have been incorrectly formatted or missing information, or maybe we just made a mistake. In either case, we aren't adding additional prompts at this point.

My fandom is listed under multiple names!

We're sorry! We tried to consolidate prompts for fandoms submitted under multiple names, but we may have missed some. We can't fix it at this point, so do check under variants of your fandom's name to make sure you're not missing another set of prompts.

How long do stories need to be?

The minimum length for stories is 1000 words. There's no maximum length, as long as you post the complete story on your assigned posting day.

Apologies to the original prompter [info]neth_dugan but I have to drop this claim. Apologies also to the admin team for any inconvenience caused.

Prompt: 1112. Doctor Who, Mickey Smith, Whilst in Pete's World after the Doctor leaves, Mickey finds himself attracted to Jake and questioning his sexuality as they grow closer and closer. How does he bring himself to come out to Rose and her family and what happens when he's given the opportunity to return to his birth reality? (Can go AU if you want)

Just saw this and it's okay. Was looking forward to it and so on but it's okay.

*hugs*

Sorry to let you down. I had started writing it and then when I checked the prompt I realised my time line was wrong and because of study I wouldn't get it redone in time. I have an exam coming up on the 17th but I will try it after that independently of [info]lgbtfest

I am deeply sorry to the original prompter, but due to personal issues, real life has prevented me from having enough work time to fulfill this claim. I am also sorry to have caused any inconvenience at all for trying to do something I was not ready for and making a bother for the admin to clean up.

Prompt: 1708. Jeeves and Wooster, Reginald Jeeves, as a young man, Jeeves spent two years in prison for engaging in homosexual acts before changing his name and starting anew. Now, a blackmailer approaches him with evidence of his former life, demanding a sum Jeeves has no chance of ever paying...

I'm very sorry, but I've just acquired a new job and RL has exploded, and I will not have time to finish this before the 'fest is done. If I have time, I still may work on it afterward, because I do love the prompt and the concept.

2644. RPF - Pundits, Rachel Maddow/OFC, 18th century AU. Ninteen-year-old Rachel Maddow disguises herself as a man to be closer to the events of the American Revolution. Soldier, journalist, political something-or-other; anything's great. Though she does a wonderful job, someone notices. Lovely butch/femme romance ensues. (It doesn't have to be an OFC if there's a punditverse-lady you'd rather cast in the role.

Hi. I'm really, really sorry but I don't think I'll be able to finish my second prompt in time for its due date or even for the last Amnesty Wednesday.

(Prompt was: Second prompt: 1150. Doctor Who (classic), Two/Jamie, Jamie totally understands that he wants a sexual/romantic relationship with the Doctor; it's the Doctor that needs 'convincing' that it's all right. )
